Hello -
I'm hoping someone has experienced this same issue and can help me.
I am using a Netgear WPN824v2 wireless router with Verizon Fios. My internet connection is coming straight from Verizon into my "wanport" on my Netgear router and I have plugged in the Linksys phone adapter into port 1 on the Netgear. The Linksys phone adapter was assigned 192.168.1.6 as the IP Address from the Netgear Router. I get a dial tone, but calls are not ringing on the other end and when I call my VoIP YourLife phone number, the phone never rings.
I've spoken with tech support and they have provided me with port forwarding info and I have entered that info into my Netgear as UDP and used the IP address the Linksys was assigned as the "server ip address" (192.168.1.6). Still nothing and I have tried everything I can think of.
Can anyone help me as I would really like to keep their service? I currently am a Verizon VoiceWing customer and did not have to do anything like this when I established service with them so I am stumped.
Thanks.
