softphone registration & setup

I've been trying to setup x-lite softphone with my voipyourlife account but do not understand how to set it up properly. Does anyone know how to set up a profile properly to work with voipyourlife. thanks

I am having difficulties with setting up a softphone on my husbands computer. He has a mac, and I downloaded the X-lite for Mac software. When I followed the directions for setting it up, I get an error 407 message, which says Registration Error 407- Proxy Authentication

I have checked to make sure my ports aren't blocked, and in fact they are fine. Can anyone help me determine what is wrong? I am new to this, somewhat.

407 is usually a credential error.

Double check your username, AuthID, and password.

Username - <VYL Username> and NOT <SIP-VYL Username>

AuthID - <VYL Username> and NOT <SIP-VYL Username>

Password - <VYL Password> and NOT <SIP-VYL Password>

Everything is case sensitive.

Wow is my face red, I tried using the SIP-Username setup, then when that had not worked, I deleted the SIP. I alternated the casing, and I think what ended up happening was I tried every possible combo, except I forgot to type my username completely caps free. Oh well, now it is working, and I thank you! :D
