Is anyone out there successfully using your SPA2102 behind a Linksys WRV200? I've tried everything, but my ATA loses it's registration about once a day. Now, I can't even get my ATA to register at all. After numerous calls to tech support, I'm still dead in the water.

Here's a summary of my settings:

Assigned static IP to the ATA (192.168.1.200). VYL has made a configuration change on their end recognize this setting. (i.e., now the ATA won't work in front of the router with it's default IP address 192.168.7.5.
Forwarded ports 5004, 5060-5069, 16000-16500 to 192.168.1.200
Set up port triggering for ports above
Set QoS to High for ATA port on router

I'm using firmware version 1.0.32.2.

fyi, I confirmed with Linksys tech support that putting the ATA in the DMZ will do nothing (since DMZ does not include ports above). Also, they claim that port triggering is not needed for voip service.

Unfortunately, it's not an option for me to put the ATA in front of the router, since the double-NAT interferes with my work VPN.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

semibru,

Have you tried connecting the ATA directly to your Internet modem rather than behind the router? I would be interested to see if the ATA is having a problem. (the device may be bad rather than your router)

Thanks,

Gary

After weeks of troubleshooting, the solution was a firmware upgrade (to the most recent beta version, no less) for the router.
