New account, dial out = busy signal

I just got my VYL device, installed it and got a dial tone, tada! :)
Then this morning i tried to make a call but would only get a busy signal.:(
I could receive calls no problem.
A call to tech support educated me.....

Turns out "Short Digit Dial" was disabled, thus all calls had to be called with the area code ala 1-234-567-xxxx, after enabling this i was able to call 567-xxxx. :D

I'm glad I came to the forum and found this bit of info out. I was thinking up to now what a pain it is to have to dial all the numbers...hehe:eek:

Oh yea tell me about it and my son went nuts trying to make a call. I told him he had to dial all that number. LOL :p

I just signed up and had the very same problem. It seems they should change this default setting. Thank you so much for the tip!
