I thought it was the Voipyoulife service that wasn't working, although I didn't rush to judge I may as well have, because it turns out it was the brand new 'GE 6.0 Dect' that was the problem....entirely.
Voipyourlife is working fine, the tech support is excellent, and the new phone I got to replace the GE, a Panasonic is great.
The port forwarding was a task that Verizon should have done, but they wanted me to pay a premium price for it, I eventually figured it out myself. Seventy bucks saved. :)
Vonage.....VoipYourLife has you beat. (had Vonage a couple of years, not as good as they claim they are, check thier forum. Lot of unhappy users)
