Cannot call AVIS Reservations line and noise in phone to some callers

I'm hearing a compression like noise in my headset when I am talking to some callers, it's very distracting. Sounds like white noise and only happens while i am talking with a slight delay. Anyone have any ideas of any settings i could change to get rid of this?

There are two settings that you can attempt to adjust if you have brought your own device. In some devices there is a setting that adds white noise to the connection. This could be the cause of the issue. You could also try changing the codec to some other setting. I have noticed that the codec used by Packet8 often gives a low white noise sound on the line.
