I am somewhat computer savvy but know very little about home networking. My DSL goes into my D-link WBR 2310 router which is then connected to the SPA 2102 and into our desktop computer. Prior to installing the SPA, my laptop could 'see' both the desktop and our printer, however now it only connects to the internet and I am unable to use the printer through my laptop.

I believe this is a 'simple fix' and has to do with the D-link router. I don't know what to change in my adminstrator site for the D-link router and am hesitant to guess. The internet connection type is DHCP. Should I change that? If so, to what?

If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you got enough free ports on the D-link to try plugging both the desktop computer and the SPA straight into the D-link? If that solves the printing issue, then I'd bet the SPA is blocking the packets somehow.

Thank you so very much for your help! I did exactly as you had suggested and it works great! I knew there had to be a very simple solution. :D
