Hi. I have absolutely loved voip your life. The only problems that I have ever experienced with it is that my fax machine does not ever send a fax properly now, and my satellite dish will not dial into the satellite company's computer successfully. I was told that the voip is much too fast for the satellite connection. Is there any way to ensure that I can successfully send a fax using the voip line? Thanks, Billy B.

Those are tough ones. Faxing over VoIP is not very reliable. In some cases it works very well and in others it won't work at all. Modem service like your satelite company requires rarely works.

We can fine tune some of the settings on the adapter and see what happens. Follow the instructions below. When you send the reults of the test, be sure to include in the email that you are using fax and modem service.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Using Internet Explorer, go to http://www.voipqualitytest.com. It generally takes 10 to 15 seconds for the page to load.

2. Click on the button in the center of the page titled “Click to start MyVoIPSpeed”. The application will begin a VoIP simulation followed by a speed test, and then finally will give you a connection summary.

3. E-mail the results for the download speed, upload speed, jitter and packet loss along with your account username (or phone number) and the MAC address located on the bottom of your adapter to customerservice@voipyourlife.com. The MAC address is the number beginning with 000E08.
