Will having the X-Lite softphone active while a phone is plugged in through the SPA-2102 work just like multiple phones through POTS (as in they both ring, both can call out, and picking both up will have both phones in on the conversation)? Will it work with either reconfiguring the SPA-2102, through the web portal to my account, or not work at all?

I could test it myself, but the SPA-2102 is still being shipped and I'm curious now.

Yep! Both can make outbound calls at the same time, either can answer a call. In fact, you can dial your own number from one and the other will ring. Just one caution. Each will be identified as a seperate registration. If you have more two devices register at the same time, the fraud system may deactivate your account. If you run x-lite on more than one computer, be carefull not to start the application on more than one at a time.

Thanks,

Dennis

Does this also mean that through the phone adapter I could make separate calls? If I could, that would be the bestest thing I've ever seen LOL

edit: nevermind, it just dawned on me how dumb I can be when I don't think. LOL

No problem: You can make seperate calls from X-Lite and the adapter at the same time.

Thanks,
