Not sure what else to try here. I called support and was told they do not support X-Lite (they used to help me) and was sent the latest config doc. I setup everything based on the doc and still no luck. So just to rule anything out I connected my computer directly to the cable modem so there would be no router issues and also turned off the computers firewall (yes hackers the door is open) and still no luck. Any tips on this?

It appears your account registration is coming back with an error BadAuth which is usually indicative of a firewall/router. However, I can see that your computer is now directly connected to your PC so that should work fine.

Just to be sure, double-check that any sort of software firewall is disabled, such as ZoneAlarm.

Furthermore we will need to disable some settings on the X-lite. Right click on the screen and click options. Look in the bottom left hand corner and click the Advanced button. Then click on Quality of Service.

Turn all the options to off. Click apply and okay and see if you are able to register that way.

Please keep me posted on how it turns out.

Thanks,

Allen

Ok still no luck but I thank you for the effort.

I changed all the QOS settings.
I turned off Spybot.
Also uninstalled AVG.
Did a reboot but still no luck.

Is the username and password the same as what I use to log into the website to check VM?

Yes the username/password is the same as the login to your control panel at our website. Also the AuthID on the softphone is the same as your username.

The softphone appeared to be setup correctly, if you would like for me to double-check the settings you can PM or Email me a snapshot of the Account tab, and also provide me with the password you're entering. I can look over it and make sure everything is configured correctly.

If the Account tab is setup correctly, then unfortunately I may be out of advice. I would encourage you to check out the developer's forums for more advice at - http://forums.counterpath.com/viewforum.php?f=6

I will also do some browsing myself, but I want to double-check your account settings first.

Thanks,

Allen
